Oakton High has five bands that run through out the year.  Concert II, Concert I and Symphonic meet during the normal school day and once a week after school from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.  Jazz A & B meet after school from 2:15 pm to 3:00 pm everyday. 

Oakton is a 16 year Virginia Honor Band.  To reach this acheivement our bands must complete the following three items:

1. The Marching Band must receive a Superior rating at the State Marching Band Competition
2. Concert Band must receive a Superior rating at District Band
3. Jazz Band must receive a Superior rating at District Band
