Please Support Your OHS Band Navel Oranges · Temple Oranges · Valencia Oranges · Pink Grapefruit · Tangerines · Tangelos· TomatoesThe Band Boosters of Oakton High School will be sponsoring their annual citrus sale beginning in late October and running through the winter.
Here are the answers to all your questions: • How many sales are planned? • What products are offered? • How does it work? • How does this benefit the students? • How can I help? • Questions? How many sales are planned? This year we have the following sales planned, please see below the specific dates.
How does it work? Prior to each delivery, the sale with be publicized in a number of ways: • With posters and order forms located in the band hallway • Via the band Yahoo group. If you’re not already registered, please sign up by going to http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/Oakton_Band_Information/, as this is an invaluable source of information for band families. • Here on the website. Students obtain as many orders as they can and drop the order form in the band room. Orders can also be placed through the website or emailed to the citrus coordinator. Citrus is not hard to sell, and every little bit helps! Often a mention to friends and colleagues stirs up interest. The fruit is delivered to Oakton High School usually on Saturday. Payment can be made thru PayPal or at time of pickup. How does this benefit the students? In addition to helping fund our outstanding band program, citrus sales provide credits to the students to help with band expenses. Students receive 2.5 credits for each large box (4/5 bushel) sold, and 2 credits for each smaller box. (One credit = $1 off your band expenses.) Once all payments have been received, credits will be posted to the student accounts. How can I help?
