Concert Uniform

ALL CONCERT/SYMPHONIC BANDS
Girls: Black dress

Cost: Student purchases the dress through the Band department; is typically a one-time purchase; approximate cost = $63; based on actual dress cost plus a shipping and handling charge.

Boys: Black tuxedo jacket and pants, black vest and long tie, and formal tuxedo shirt with flat-collar.

Cost: The tuxedo shirt is purchased by the student, and the other uniform pieces are rented yearly from the Band department. The annual rental charge is based upon the cost to replace the uniform piece inventory over time, plus a yearly cleaning cost, divided by the number of students renting each year.
The costs for the 2012-2013 school year are:

Tuxedo shirt: $20 (actual shirt cost); student purchases through the Band program; typically a one-time purchase
Black jacket: $20
Tuxedo pants: $13 (if needed, boys may use own black tuxedo pants, if they have them from middle school)
Vest & Tie: $11

JAZZ BANDS
Girls: Black dress, same as Concert dress

Boys: White tuxedo jacket; black tuxedo pants, black vest and long tie, formal tuxedo shirt, all same as Concert uniform pieces.

Cost: If the student is also participating in Concert/Symphonic Band, they will need to additionally rent the white jacket yearly. If the student is participating in Jazz Band only, they will need to purchase the tuxedo shirt, and rent the white jacket plus all other concert uniform pieces (black pants and vest and tie) yearly.

Tuxedo shirt purchase, and rental and cleaning charges for black pants and vest and tie, are the same as listed under Concert/Symphonic Band

PAYMENT

All purchase and rental charges will be assessed, collected, and administered by Oakton High School.
Students may use their Student Account credits to pay the uniform purchase/rental charges. To do so, send an email to studentaccounts@oaktonbands.com stating the amount from your Student Account you want applied toward the charge. BBOHS will issue payment to Oakton High School in that amount.
