As a parent of an Oakton student in the band program, you are automatically a member of the Band Booster Organization of Oakton High School (BBOHS). This is a volunteer organization that supports the entire band program at Oakton which includes: 1 marching band, 3 concert bands, 2 jazz bands, a percussion ensemble and a color guard. Our support activities include transporting equipment to and from performances and competitions, chaperoning students, and various fundraising activities, including our annual Oakton Classic marching band competition. In addition, we support music endeavors throughout the district by hosting various music festivals and co-sponsoring the Vienna Summer Strings program.
There is an abundance of information to communicate about the band programs and we do the majority of that online. Messages and important notices will be circulated through our Charms office email message system and posted on our website. A calendar of activities is also available on this website, which is frequently updated to contain the latest information. Please check back often!
